The short track kicked off this morning for the Elite riders. Check out who won below!

Elite Women
Puck Pieterse announced herself as a major contender for Sunday's XCO with a dominant short track victory on Saturday morning, holding off a three-way sprint to take the win in 21:37. Laura Stigger and Nicole Koller crossed the line in the same time, with Evie Richards and world cup leader Sina Frei just a second back in fourth and fifth.
Alessandra Keller, the reigning world champion, abandoned mid-race after a crash. Haley Batten also DNS.
Pieterse's win sets her up perfectly for tomorrow's XCO, where she'll start from the front row after earning the top spot through the XCC.
Elite Men
Mathis Azzaro of Origine Racing Division took the Elite Men's XCC victory, setting the fastest lap of the day at 35.34km/h to edge out Tom Pidcock by just one second. It was an impressive return to mountain bike racing for the Tom, who lined up to his first XCC race in a while and immediately showed his class with a second place finish. The overall XCO Leader Dario Lillo was third, with Martin Vidaurre Kossmann and Charlie Aldridge rounding out the top five. Pidcock now starts Sunday's XCO from the first row — and will be a serious contender for the win.
