The first round of this year’s Crank It Cycling Series takes us to Sherwood Pines, a favourite venue of many riders! Sherwood always provides a nice & flowing course with minimal elevation – but still provides the fun factor!
The Course
The Crank It races at Sherwood Pines always provide an inclusive fun course which will suit the beginner as well as the seasoned racer, any technical section will have an easier ‘B’ line around the technical section making it a perfect race for first-timers – it also allows the more experienced take the ‘A’ line which will save time during the race.
The course will be based around the classic Sherwood sections we all know and love!

E-Bike Challenge
For the first time, E-bike riders will be able to take part in the Crank It Weekender!
This fun blast around the course will test any E-biker’s skills as they balance power usage and riding ability in an electrifying challenge!
It will begin with a fast mass start as riders fight for positions before the first technical section, riders will fly uphill knowing the downhills are coming without the legs burning!
All bikes must be legal and any chipped bikes found will result in an automatic disqualification.
U12 Skills Challenge
The under-12 skills challenge will last 2 hours and coaches will oversee the skills challenges, riders aim to collect points at each station and more points will be given for taking the harder option. Once all riders have completed the challenges we use the points for gridding for the race!
This format is a great way to get your kid into the sport and is the perfect place for them to make friends.
